Gary GreenfieldGary G. Greenfield
Chief Executive Officer and President

In his role as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, Mr. Greenfield is overseeing a number of initiatives designed to achieve greater operating efficiencies across the company and to solidify Avid’s position as a world leader in designing and developing innovative content creation, media production and broadcast solutions.
Mr. Greenfield is a proven senior executive with multidisciplinary experience in high technology.  Prior to joining Avid in December 2007, Mr. Greenfield was CEO of GXS, Inc. from 2003 to 2007, a leading worldwide provider of business-to-business integration, synchronization and collaboration solutions. Since December 2003, he had also been an operating partner with Francisco Partners, a leading technology-focused private equity firm.

Previously, Mr. Greenfield served as CEO of Peregrine Systems, Inc. where he managed the restructuring of that company’s business.  He has also served as president and CEO of MERANT and CEO of INTERSOLV, which merged with Micro Focus to form MERANT. He has experience growing businesses both organically and through acquisition, managing development, marketing and operations, and serving diverse customers from small businesses to the Fortune 500.

Mr. Greenfield earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Science Administration degree from George Washington University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Kirk ArnoldKirk Arnold
Executive Vice President of Customer Operations

As Executive Vice President of Customer Operations, Ms. Arnold leads the company’s sales, marketing and services functions and is responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s customer relationships. 

Prior to joining Avid in February 2008, Ms. Arnold was CEO of Keane, Inc., a global consulting and outsourcing firm. Her extensive background in technology management includes leadership positions at Fidelity Investments, where she led product development as well as strategic marketing and consulting; venture-backed start-up NerveWire, Inc., where she served as CEO; and Computer Sciences Corporation, where she was President of CSC Consulting.

Ms. Arnold started her career at IBM where she served in a variety of sales and sales management positions. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and currently serves on the Board of Advisors of Cramer Marketing Services.

Ken SextonKen Sexton
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
Chief Administrative Officer

As Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Sexton oversees all of Avid's financial and administrative functions, including finance, information technology, legal, human resources, investor relations, manufacturing and logistics.

Mr. Sexton brings more than 30 years of business leadership experience to Avid, including substantial experience in growing technology companies and public capital markets.  Prior to joining Avid in January 2008, Mr. Sexton served as EVP & CFO of webMethods, Inc., a leading provider of business integration software solutions, where he helped oversee the successful merger of webMethods and Software AG. Prior to that, Mr. Sexton served as EVP & CFO of Infor, Inc., where he was integral to multiple business acquisitions, helping to build Infor into the world's largest private software company. Prior to that, Mr. Sexton was EVP & CFO of Peregrine Systems and was instrumental in the successful turnaround of that company. From 1991 to 2002, Mr. Sexton was Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration and CFO of MERANT/INTERSOLV during a period of substantial growth.

Mr. Sexton holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.

Dave LeboltDave Lebolt
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Dave Lebolt joined the company in 1994 and has held a variety of positions, including, most recently, Vice President and General Manager, Audio.  As Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for the company’s strategic technology vision and user experience.

Before joining the company, Mr. Lebolt was a professional keyboardist, producer, arranger, and composer. He toured and/or recorded with many well-known musical artists, including David Bowie, Billy Joel, and Laurie Anderson. Between 1988 and 1994, Mr. Lebolt worked in advertising music in New York City, was a principal partner in a music production house, and received Clio and Emmy® awards for various productions.

Jerry KellyJerry Kelly
Vice President and Chief Information Officer

As Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Kelly is responsible for aligning Avid’s information systems strategies and business strategies to ensure the highest level of operational effectiveness and efficiency within Avid’s IS function.  

Prior to joining Avid in July 2008, Mr. Kelly was with 3Com Corporation where he served as VP and CIO.  Previously, Mr. Kelly held executive and senior IS positions at Westside Advisors LLP, Modus Media/Modus Link, Inc., and Globalware Solutions.  Mr. Kelly began his career at Digital Equipment Corp./Compaq in Ireland and held a number of engineering management roles in Europe and the United States.

Mr. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Engineering from University College in Galway.

Glover LawrenceGlover Lawrence
Vice President, Corporate Development

As Vice President of Corporate Development, Mr. Lawrence will lead collaborative efforts across Avid to identify areas of opportunity that will help drive growth and bring long term success to both Avid and our customers.

Prior to joining Avid in August 2008, Mr. Lawrence was a Managing Director and Co-Founder of McNamee Lawrence and Co., a global investment banking advisory firm focused on serving the needs of innovative, growth-stage technology products and services companies.  His extensive background in strategy and financial markets includes senior roles at Oracle where he was a Managing Director of the Oracle Venture Fund and Hambrecht & Quist where he was a Principal and senior member of the M&A group advising clients in key strategic transactions that included acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and raising capital.

Mr. Lawrence began his career at Morgan Stanley & Co. as a financial analyst and member of the Technology M&A group in both New York and Tokyo.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University and a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

 

Joel LegonJoel Legon
Vice President of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer

As Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer, Mr. Legon is responsible for accounting operations, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, revenue recognition, internal and external reporting, and certain corporate services.

Before joining Avid in March 2006, Mr. Legon was with Parametric Technology, Inc. for 10 years, most recently as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller. While at Parametric Technology, Mr. Legon was responsible for worldwide accounting, internal and external reporting, revenue recognition, order management, and financial integration for acquisitions.

Mr. Legon is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Paul LypaczewskiPaul Lypaczewski
Vice President and General Manager, Video

As Vice President and General Manager, Video, Mr. Lypaczewski manages the company’s professional and consumer video engineering and product management teams. 

Mr. Lypaczewski is an industry veteran who brings over 25 years of experience to Avid.  Prior to joining Avid in July 2008, he was part of the executive management team at Autodesk, Inc. where he served as EVP and General Manager of the Discreet Division. Previously, he was Vice President of Product Development at Alias Research, Inc. and played a key role in its merger with Wavefront Technologies at Silicon Graphics, Inc. Prior to that, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise and Multimedia Graphics Businesses at ATI Technologies Inc., which subsequently merged with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.  He was also President and Chief Operating Officer of View22 Technology, Inc., a leading provider of 3D web commerce and media solutions and CEO of TrueSpectra, Inc. a developer of rich image server solutions for the web. Mr. Lypaczewski began his career at CAE Inc. in a variety of roles developing advanced flight simulators and real time systems and where he became the first Canadian to be awarded the NASA Space Act Award for exceptional merit.  

Mr. Lypaczewski holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from McGill University.

Beth MartinkoBeth Martinko
Vice President of Customer Success

Avid firmly believes that the success of our customers will lead to our success as a company. Ms. Martinko’s role brings a focus on the success of our customers across all functions and geographies. Prior to joining Avid in February 2008, Ms. Martinko served as a consultant to assess Avid's focus on customer success.

Ms. Martinko has held senior leadership positions in professional services, customer support and human resources at companies including GXS, Peregrine and MERANT/INTERSOLV. Her career in the private sector has also led her to work at both Wavelight, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. as vice president of customer support, and at Data General Corp. and Northrup in product quality roles. Also active in the non-profit sector, Ms. Martinko is an advisory board member of Schools for Humanity and PSVillage, a forum for professional services leaders to network and share best practices.

Paige ParisiPaige Parisi
Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

As Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Ms. Parisi is responsible for overseeing the company’s legal affairs.

Prior to joining Avid in June 2003, Ms. Parisi was in private practice at the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, where, beginning in 1997, she served as Avid’s outside counsel.

Ms. Parisi holds a Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Skidmore College. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Parisi was a news producer for CBS network news in Washington, D.C., and for NBC network news in New York City.

Sharad RastogiEd Raine
Vice President of Human Resources

As Vice President of Human Resources, Mr. Raine is responsible for integrating Avid’s human resources and business strategies to ensure the highest level of operational effectiveness and efficiency within the global human resources function. With extensive international and technology sector experience, his mandate includes global alignment of Avid’s organization structures and direction of human resource programs and policies, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development. 

Mr. Raine came to Avid in April 2008 from EMC Corp. where he held the role of senior director of human resources within the Americas Field Organization. At EMC, he and his team supported 7,500 employees in sales, professional services, and sales operations. Prior to EMC, Mr. Raine held executive and senior management human resource positions at Parametric Technology Corporation, Nortel Networks Corp. and Ryder System, Inc. 

Mr. Raine grew up in London, England and then attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where he received a degree in Political Science.

Tex SchenkkanTex Schenkkan
Vice President and General Manager, Audio

As Vice President and General Manager, Audio, Mr. Schenkkan manages the company’s audio engineering and program and product management teams.  He joined Avid as Chief Operating Officer of Digidesign/Avid Audio in 2006. He has over 25 years of experience in general management, international marketing, new product development, strategic alliances and business development in the computer systems industry.
Prior to joining Avid, Mr. Schenkkan held positions as Senior Vice President of the Consumer Electronics Business of Maxtor Corporation, Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Electronics at Quantum Corporation, and Marketing Manager of the Storage Systems business at Hewlett-Packard.
Mr. Schenkkan began his career at the Public Broadcasting Service in Washington, D.C. where he worked on the strategic direction of the public television and radio systems.  He continues his interest in the not-for-profit world as a member of the Board of Trustees of the French American International School in San Francisco.
Mr. Schenkkan holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the Stanford Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University.
